What does a bed bug look like?

Adult bed bugs are about the size of an apple seed, flat, oval, wingless and brown to reddish-brown. After feeding they become larger, darker and more swollen. Young bed bugs are nearly translucent or pale yellow.

Where do bed bugs hide?

They gather in hidden places such as mattress seams, box springs, bed frames, behind headboards, inside furniture joints, behind baseboards and around electrical outlets.

Do bed bugs jump?

No. Unlike fleas, bed bugs do not jump, and unlike ticks, they do not stay attached to your skin. They hide during the day and come out at night to feed.
